Effects of Alcohol during Massage

Updated: Apr 11, 2023

There are a few establishments that offer clients a glass of wine, etc. before their massage; however, as tempting as this may be, it would be in your best interest not to mix the two.

Massage affects the circulatory system by:

  • increasing nutrients.

  • increasing red blood cells.

  • increasing blood flow.

  • increasing oxygen

  • lowering blood pressure.

  • reducing heart rate.

During your Massage - since circulation is increased, the alcohol travels throughout the body rapidly, and can result in a negative outcome.

Massage has many wonderful benefits, and as long as you've chosen the correct Massage Therapist, you will find their is no need for additional Stimulants.

Enjoy your Massage Session - Naturally!
